July 11:
∫ Police were dispatched to Gilman United Methodist Church on Gilman Avenue about criminal damaging. Upon arrival police talked to the complainant, who reported someone damaged a concrete bench outside the church.
∫ Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Washington Street about a disturbance. Upon arrival and after investigation, it was learned that females were involved in a physical altercation.
July 12:
∫Police investigated a subject refusing to leave the Comfort Suites. Deborah Windbigler, 60, was arrested and jailed for trespass, disorderly conduct cease and desist and resisting arrest.
∫ Police spoke with an individual at Marietta Police Department about a juvenile abuse case. The case is under investigation.
July 13:
∫ Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Greene Street about property damage. It was found that wiring had been stripped from the basement of a vacant house.
July 14:
∫Police responded to the 100 block of Knox Street about a scam/theft.
∫ Police responded to the 700 block of Glendale Road about an intoxicated female. Upon arriving, police were advised by bystanders that a male had just assaulted a male and a female at the apartment complex. After investigation, it was learned the male had assaulted his girlfriend and one of her male friends, but left before police arrived. Chad Warner, 38, was arrested for domestic violence and assault on July 17.
July 15:
∫ Police responded to the 700 block of Sixth Street about a drunk disorderly female. On arrival of police, the female was identified as Crystal Dawn Seevers. After investigation, it was learned Seevers and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument that resulted in her disorderly behavior. Seevers was then given a cease and desist warning. About an hour and a half later, police again responded to the same address. Seevers was disorderly and belligerent again. As a result, she was arrested for disorderly conduct cease and desist and taken to the Washington County Jail.
∫ Police went to the 800 block of Ridge Street about a firearm theft from a motor vehicle. A Glock 9 mm pistol was taken.
July 16:
∫ A police officer was approached at 2:30 a.m. by multiple females with visible injuries, advising that they had been stabbed by another female at Front and Greene streets.
Additional information was obtained and a possible suspect was located by police officers in the 100 block of Front Street attempting to leave the area in a vehicle. The female was detained and interviewed. After speaking with victims and witnesses to the incident, Helena Denise Riggs, 49, was arrested for felonious assault, two counts. She was taken to the Washington County Jail to await her court appearance.
∫ Police responded to a residence on Harmar Hill for a suspected suicide.
∫ Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Phillips Street about a domestic disturbance that started when a father extinguished an unattended backyard campfire his son had started.
The police officer advised he would have two counts of domestic violence on Zachary David Clark, 24. Police located Clark at the Duke Station on Pike Street. Clark was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.
July 17:
∫ Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Ridge St. about a neighbor dispute. Upon arrival, officers made contact with all involved parties. Charges were not pursued by the complainant and the case is considered closed.
∫ Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Eighth Street for a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and Shamel Maxwell. Maxwell, 45, was arrested for domestic violence and taken to the Washington County Jail.
∫ Police were dispatched to Walmart about a shoplifter who tried to steal $138 in merchandise. The suspect will receive a court summons for theft.
