Today, West Virginia University at Parkersburg will hold an Early College Catch-Up Day to help high school students catch up on their applications.
WVU Parkersburg's Early College program allows high school students to earn college credits while earning their high school diploma.
Participants in the program get to jumpstart their college experience by taking classes alongside regular college students.
"Early College students benefit from having peace of mind by attending the event," said Michelle Nabers, early college director. "The start of the school year is busy at high schools, so having this event can help reduce errors and delays with registration and avoid being removed from any courses due to non-payment in August."
Nabers said the event is open to new and current high school students in the program who need to complete their online application or registration for the Fall 2023 semester.
Students will also be able to make an advanced payment before the deadline.
The event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. today, in the student lounge. Representatives from Early College and the Business Office will be available to guide students through the steps they need to take to have a smooth start to the Fall 2023 semester.
