¯ Keepers of the Kingdom Vacation Bible School will be held 9 a.m.-noon daily through Friday at Tunnel United Methodist Church. Bible stories, music, crafts, games and snacks will be provided for children age 3 through to sixth-graders. Closing program will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday. ¯ A rummage sale will be held 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and Saturday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 320 Second St. Household items, small appliances, furniture, sporting goods, clothing, crafts, a grill and a wheelbarrow will be included.
¯ The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual social 4 p.m. Saturday. The menu includes BBQ chicken, hot dogs, pizza, pies and cakes, soft drinks and ice cream. Inflatables and barrel rides will be available for the kids and bingo, gun raffles, country store and silent auction items for the adults. Entertainment for the evening will be by the Phase 2 band. The department is requesting donations of pies and cakes (no cream pies, please) which can be dropped off the night before or day of the social at the station. ¯ Matamoras 374 Free and Accepted Masons is holding a community breakfast buffet from 8-11 a.m. Saturday at 301 Main St., New Matamoras. The suggested donation is $7 per person. Profits from the breakfast support Grand Lodge of Ohio Charitable Foundation, the Ohio Masonic Home and local charities.
¯ A social hour and regular meeting of AMVETS Post 1788 will be held Tuesday at the Marietta Elks Lodge on Colegate Drive. Social Hour will open at 5 p.m. with hot food, some healthy choices and light beverages. The regular meeting follows. Plans for the second half of the year to include activities for supporting Americanism in local schools, Veterans Day, Pearl Harbor Day, Christmas and a new local effort Hope4Vets. ¯ Goats Grateful Gang will hold a benefit spaghetti dinner from noon-5 p.m. Saturday at the St. Marys Marina. Proceeds will benefit John Giboney who was involved in a car accident earlier this year. More information is available on the group's Facebook page.
¯ The Barlow VFD will hold its annual ice cream social from 4-8 p.m. Aug. 12 at the firehouse on Warrior Drive in Barlow.
Dinner will include BBQ chicken, noodles, potato salad, hot dogs, sloppy joes, ice cream and pie. A bouncy house, an obstacle course, games for the kids, bingo, a country store and a silent auction will be available. Raffle tickets will sold by three young ladies running for Miss Flame and two young men running for Mr Spark.

¯ The Alzheimer's Association offers professionally led groups for caregivers, individuals living with Alzheimer's and others dealing with the disease of dementia. All support groups are facilitated by trained individuals. Meetings in the area include: Marietta Support Group, 10-11:30 a.m. first Fridays at the O'Neill Center, 333 Fourth St. Facilitator is Krissy Kearns, 937-974-2387; Belpre Chamber of Commerce, 1-2:40 p.m. second Mondays at 713 Park Drive. ¯ The O'Neill Center will hold chair volleyball at 9 a.m. Wednesdays, except the second Wednesday of the month.

¯ TOPS 399, Marietta, meets 6 p.m. Tuesdays at the First Church of the Nazarene to help members lose weight by group support to a goal set by each member's physician. TOPS Club Inc. is a nonprofit, weight-loss support and wellness education organization in the United States and Canada. ¯ The Ohio Department of Development and Washington-Morgan Community Action will launch the Home Energy Assistance Summer Crisis Program to help income-eligible Ohioans with paying an electric bill or assistance paying for an air-conditioning unit, fans or central air conditioning repairs. The program runs until Sep. 30.
¯ Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O'Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.
