Marietta High students spruce up spots

Marietta High School seniors were allowed to paint parking spots for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday.
Students were allowed to pick a parking spot on either side of the high school, as long as it was the same side as their parking pass.
Some students went simple, only painting their name and graduating year, while others painted elaborate and detailed images that related to their interests and personality.
Taten Ayers painted his parking spot with a "Jurassic Park," dubbing it "Jurassic Parking."
Amelia Schenkel adorned her spot with her name and graduating year, 2024, in a unique graffiti style.
Chloe Patterson painted her parking spot with a floral theme and the words "you matter" in the middle.
Some MHS seniors included hand and foot prints in their parking spots.
There was a large diversity of painted parking spots by the end of the day on Tuesday, though some students had to come back the next day to finish their work.
