Event raises over $45k; Bounty by the River raises money to help food insecurity

The 11th Bounty by the River fundraiser has raised $45,664 in the fight against food insecurity in the region and support nutritional education for children.
The event, held Aug. 25 at the Memorial Health System Belpre Medical Campus, included gourmet food, music, auctions and more.
The amount raised will provide 144,000 meals for those in need.
"We can't thank those who supported the cause enough," said Dee Ann Gehlauf, Memorial Health System vice president, Business and Organization Development and Hunger Solutions Mid-Ohio Valley president. "It was another great year."
Sponsoring this year's Bounty by the River were Gold Sponsors Memorial Health System, Medical Innovation Development and Peoples Bank. Silver Sponsors were Sunday Creek Horizons, PM Company, Morrison Healthcare, JetLag LLC, Hall Financial, 4 Bridges and Bricker & Graydon.
Hunger Solutions was created In 2012 in a collaboration by Peoples Bank, Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta College and the law firm of Bricker & Eckler.
The community-based plan raises awareness and helps eliminate hunger in the region.
