¯The Reno Area Water and Sewer District will meet at 6 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Reno Water Office 170 Mount Tom Road. The public is welcomed.

¯ Family and Children First will sponsor a fall session of the Strengthening Families 10-14 Program for parents and youth ages 10-14 from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays through Oct. 24 at the Ely Chapman Center in Marietta. The parent, youth and family skills-building curriculum builds family strengths, strengthens parenting skills and prevents teen substance abuse and other behavior problems. ¯ The Zonta Club of the MOV will sponsor its Delicates for Dignity Fundraiser through the end of October to support under-privileged girls and women in the community by providing feminine hygiene products, new bras and underwear. Items will be distributed at food pantries, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters and middle and high schools. Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 634, Marietta, OH 45750. Venmo monetary donations can be made to @zontamov. Feminine hygiene products, bras and undies may be dropped off at Advantage Real Estate, 103 Putnam St., Marietta. ¯ The Noble Correctional Institution will hold its annual golf scramble Sunday, Oct. 15 at Fullers Fairways in Zanesville. Check in is at 8 a.m. and the tournament starts at 9 a.m. Deadline to register is Sunday. Contact information is Alisa Tobin at (740) 732-5188 ext 5-2185 or Ron Heskett at ext 5-2164. Cost is $65 a person or $260 per team. The fee includes a meal at the end of the tournament. ¯ The free Trunk or Treat for veteran families will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Marietta VA clinic parking lot on 27843 State Route 7. If veterans haven't gotten their flu shot yet, it will be available at the event.
¯The Washington State Community College will host a Constitutional discussion free to the public. This discussion will honor Constitution Day at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25 at the Graham Auditorium, located in the Arts & Sciences building. There will be panelists and the first 100 in attendance will get a free pocket-sized Constitution.
¯ The Washington State Community College Criminal Justice, Nursing, Radiology, and Respiratory Therapy programs will conduct a free open discussion to the public. The discussion will be at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 26th in the Graham Auditorium located in the Arts & Sciences building. The discussion will be about common problems encountered in caring for incarcerated patients in the healthcare system.
¯ The fourth annual Mid-Ohio Valley Trunk or Treat will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Front Street in Marietta. The event is free for trick-or-treaters and anyone interested in participating in decorating a car and distributing candy. Participants who will give candy should arrive between 5 and 6:15 p.m. to set up. Trunk or Treat is hosted by Kassandra Erb and the Washington County Fairboard. Donations of men's, women's and children's clothing, coats, shoes, purses and bags, jewelry, and accessories will be accepted from 4pm -8pm Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 at the Reno Community Center 260 Sandhill Rd. Marietta. Donations may also be dropped off at Advantage Real Estate and McCarthy Real Estate during their regular business hours. Saturday will be an all day bag sale. Concessions will also be sold.
