SGT Dale Adams, U.S. Army, 1968-1970

For distinguished military service

Adams was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor and Oak Leaf Cluster, Military Order of the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device and the Vietnam Service Medal.

Adams served as a radio operator in Vietnam. During his combat tour, he was wounded when a rocket hit his bunker.

SGT Warren Bowser, U.S. Army, 1939-1945

For distinguished military service

Bowser was awarded the Silver Star, Military Order of the Purple Heart for wounds he received in action in France on Sept. 12, 1944; the American Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star and the Eastern African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon.

During the war, Bowser fought in some of the toughest campaigns: Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

PFC Cecil Schneider, U.S. Army, 1943-1945

For distinguished military service

Schneider was awarded the Bronze Star, Military Order of the Purple Heart, American Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon and the Combat Infantryman's Badge.

Schneider served as a combat infantryman. While fighting in Northern Burma, he was killed in action.

SPC Terry Smith, U.S. Army, 1965-1967

For outstanding community service and professional achievement

Schneider was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and a meritorious Unit Citation Award.

Smith served in the Republic of Vietnam as a radio operator assigned to C Company, 69th Signal Battalion.

After the service he spent a career with Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 565, where he held numerous positions. He served on the local's board for 15 years and was a financial secretary. He spent several years as a welding instructor and shared his knowledge within the community. He also served on the union negotiation committee and on the state legislative committee. He was a life member of the American Legion and a lifelong member of the Ancient and Accepted Order of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
