¯ City of Marietta leaf pickup will begin Monday, at Front and Putnam streets. Rake or blow the leaves to the curb and not in the street. Weather permitting the project should be completed by Dec. 22. Check the city website for the locations and crew to be kept up to date.
¯ The Washington County Retired Seniors Volunteer program will hold a coats for kids winter clothing drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays this month starting Nov. 7 and ending on Nov. 30. Donate any size coats for kids at many locations. A few locations include, the Belpre Kroger, Citizens Bank in Marietta, the Washington County Courthouse, and Memorial Health System Belpre Cancer Center. The donation deadline is on Nov. 27. The distribution will be held at the Dime Bank Building at Second and Putnam Streets, Marietta.
¯ The Marietta Branch library located on 615 Fifth St., Marietta is having an open craft between 3 and 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14. Come decorate a blank puzzle piece. The puzzle pieces will be combined to make a Christmas tree with presents underneath. It will then be placed together and put on a bulletin board in the youth services department. • An auction of woodworking shop and construction tools, doors and lawn and garden items to benefit a local cancer patient is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, at 3080 Huck Rd., Lowell. The auction will be an all-day auction of items that include a lifetime collection of the previous owner. Proceeds will support Jonathan Miller's cancer treatment. Donations are appreciated.

• The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County and the Washington County Health Department are collaborating on the youth tobacco environmental clean up day from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 27, at Harmar Village. If participating, arrive at the Boys and Girls Club location on Lancaster Street in Marietta by 9:45 a.m. Youth will be trained about the environmental consequences of Big Tobacco and what can be done to make a difference. • The O'Neill Center will hold mani/pedis with appointments starting at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Cost is $16 for manicure and $33 for pedicure. Call the O'Neill Center for appointments.
