Meetings
• The Operations Committee of the Warren Local Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Warren High School Auditorium, 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent.
• The Buckeye Hills Regional Council Executive Committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, and the Buckeye Hills Regional Advisory Council will meet at 11 a.m. Dec. 6 at the Buckeye Hills office at 1400 Pike St., Marietta.

• The Washington County Retired Seniors Volunteer program will hold a coats for kids winter clothing drive from 10-2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 30. Donate any size coats for kids at many locations. Locations include the Belpre Kroger, Citizens Bank in Marietta, the Washington County Courthouse, and Memorial Health System Belpre Cancer Center. The donation deadline is on Nov. 27. The distribution will be held at the Dime Bank Building at Second and Putnam Streets, Marietta.
• Beverly American Legion Post 389, 114 Fifth St; will hold a public steak fry from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at the post. Cost is $15 per meal. Up to No Good will perform after the steak fry.
• The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County and the Washington County Health Department are collaborating on the youth tobacco environmental clean up day from 10-noon Saturday, Nov. 27, at Harmar Village. Arrive at the Boys and Girls Club on Lancaster Street in Marietta by 9:45 a.m. Youth will be trained about the environmental consequences of Big Tobacco and what can be done to make a difference. Teen leaders and volunteers are being recruited. For more information contact Andrea Sites at asites@wcgov.org.
• The O'Neill Senior Center, 333 Fourth St., will hold its annual Craft Show from 8-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. The show is free and open to the public.
• The Noble County Historical Society is holding a Christmas Tea at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Ball-Caldwell Homestead, 16 East St., Caldwell, in the hospitality house with parking next to the barn. Assorted sandwiches, cookies, scones, other goodies and tea, and coffee or punch will be available. The program will have a special presentation by a special guest from the history of the Ball-Caldwell Historic House. This event is for all ages. Tickets for adults are $10 each and for children it is a donation of $5 each. Tickets can be picked up by going to the Historic Jail Museum or by calling 740-732-5288. The Historic Jail Museum is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All donations will go to the Noble Country Historical Society.
• St. Luke's Episcopal Church will hold a free community meal from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5. The meal is dine-in or take-out. For take-out meals, call the church at 740-373-5132 and leave a name and the number of meals requested. There may be a limit. Without advance calling, there is no guarantee availability of pre-packaged meals.
• A presentation on local native Americans will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Riverbend Family Dining on 415 Fifth St., Beverly, is for ages 18+. No registration required. For more information, call the Beverly Branch library at 740-984-4060.
• AMVETS Post 1788 will hold it's annual observance of Pearl Harbor at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at Muskingum Park in Marietta. The event will include formal opening remarks, an invocation, a short speech regarding the significance of Pearl Harbor in American History and then laying of wreaths on the waters. • The Washington County Republican Party will host "Christmas with the Supremes" from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at Campus Martius Museum, 601 Second St. The mixer will have special guests Judge Megan Shanahan and Judge Dan Hawkins. Adult beverages and light appetizers will be served. Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased prior to Dec. 2. To purchase tickets, email tonyabooth59@gmail.com or call 740-336-4750.
• St. Mary Catholic School will hold Breakfast with Santa from 9-11 a.m. Dec. 9 at the St. Mary Catholic School social hall. Pancakes, pictures with Santa, crafts, a country store and more will be available. The event is open to the public. All proceeds go toward repairs for the school and potential increase in teachers salary.
• Oak Grove Fire and Rescue will give Santa his annual ride on the fire truck to visit children in the Oak Grove and Muskingum Township West areas starting at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. Children should listen for the fire trucks sirens to signal Santa's arrival. Fire department members will collect donations for Gospel Mission Food Pantry.
• Washington State Community College at 710 Colgate Drive, Marietta will hold Hope for the Holidays at 6 p.m Dec. 10 on the campus lawn. A candlelight vigil remembering loved ones lost to suicide will be held. Attendees are invited to bring a picture of a loved one for the memory table. The event is open to the public.

– Nov. 30: AmeriCorps and Zero Waste will present on how to begin backyard composting for ages 18 and older. Registration is not required.
– Every Wednesday until the end of the year:
– Weekly Story Time will be held from 8:15-9 a.m. for children ages 2-6 who are accompanied by an adult. Story time can include stories, crafts, games and music and a small breakfast snack. Use the back door. Registration is not required.
– "Once Upon a Time We...," an after-school program for children ages 6-12 will be held at 3:15 p.m. Topics and activities may include crafts, games, or books. Registration is not required.
– Weekly Baby Bookworm sessions will be held at 10:30 a.m. Baby Bookworms is a story and play time for children 2 and under who are accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required.
– 2nd Thursdays: Cooking skills for teens and adults will be taught at 6 p.m. Bring a recipe to share.
• The Barlow Branch Library, 45 White Oak Professional Center, Vincent, will present the following events. For more information or to register, contact the library at 740-678-0103.
– Dec. 7: A used book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
– Jan. 4: A used book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
– Wednesdays until Dec. 20: Walking through the books for all ages will be held from 9-10 a.m. Coffee and tea will be available after the walk. Registration is not required.
– Every Thursday from Nov. 30 to Jan. 4: A family book club will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. There will be a meeting which will include discussion, a reading, and related activities or snacks. The book this month is "Bound for Home" by: Meika Hashimoto. This event is for 2nd grade children or older. Be sure to pick up the book when you register.
– 3rd Thursdays from Sept. to May: Teen entertainment for grades 5-12 after school until 4 p.m. Today at 2:45 p.m., board games will be available to play. Register by Monday before club day.

- Today: Thanksgiving kahoot will be held at 6 p.m. It will be a family thanksgiving trivia that's available for ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
- Nov. 27: Crafternoon will be held at 2 p.m. The craft is creating your own perler bead bookshelf bookmark. The event is for teens and adults and registration is required.
Nov. 28: A young adult book club will be held at 5 p.m. The book that will be in discussion is "Firekeeper's Daughter" by Angeline Boulley. Check out a copy at the library or the Libby App. The event is for ages 13 and up. No registration is required.
