Peoples Bank named to American Banker’s Best Bank to Work For list for 3rd consecutive year

Peoples Bank has again been named by American Banker among its 2023 Best Banks to Work For.

The award is presented to commercial or retail banks after extensive employee surveys and reviews of employer reports for their benefits and policies. Only 90 banks nationwide received the honor and this is the third year in a row Peoples Bank has won the award.

Peoples Bank, with over 1,300 employees, is the largest bank headquartered in Kentucky, Ohio or West Virginia to receive the award.

American Banker determines the ranking with Best Companies Group and relies on two sources of information.

The first is a survey that employees at the applicants complete that measures different areas of workplace satisfaction, such as their views on overall engagement, training and development and work environment. The second part is a review of each applicants' policies and benefits.

Leaders of the 90 institutions on the list value a number of key workplace traits.

Trust, transparency and leading by example were among those cited by executives as a priority. Clear communication was also touted as essential as an employer of choice. Generous benefits, especially paid time off to volunteer, was also was a common theme.
