Ohio State Highway Patrol

• A 16-year-old, driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, was traveling northbound on Plum Run Road in Watertown Township Dec. 8 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment before overturning. The driver had suspected minor injuries and was taken by Watertown EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital, while his passenger had possible injuries and was not taken by Watertown EMS but was examined. The driver was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.

• Edward E. Long Jr., 74, 735 Derby Rd., Waterford, driving a 2016 Ford F-250, was traveling eastbound on Ohio 7 in Belpre Dec. 13 when Larry L. Brown, 76, 1271 Mill Branch Rd., Belpre, driving a 2011 Subaru Outback, was traveling southbound on Drag Strip Rd., when he failed to yield the right of way and struck Long. Long traveled off the left side of the roadway and Brown spun around in the middle of the intersection. Brown had no apparent injuries while Long had suspected minor injuries and was taken by Little Hocking EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital Belpre Medical Campus. Brown was charged with not obeying the right of way rule.
