WALKER – A fire in the 5800 block of Walker Road claimed the life of one individual Tuesday night, Wood County Coroner Mike Sinclair said. He said the body has been sent to the West Virginia State Medical Examiner's office.
Wood County Sheriff Rick Woodyard said they are assisting in an investigation that has been opened by the WV State Fire Marshals.
The Wood County 911 Center said the fire rekindled this morning at 9:30 a.m. and that the East Wood VFD, Deerwalk VFD and Mineral Wells VFD were on scene.
