≤ Sophia M. Walker, 19, 270 Wingrove Dr., Little Hocking, driving a 2012 Nissan Xterra owned by Ira Walker, was traveling northbound on Ohio 339 in Belpre Nov. 28 preparing to turn left when Joshua W. Welch, 21, 894 Fisher Ridge Rd., Fleming, driving a 1994 Ford Ranger, was traveling northbound and failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck Walker in the rear, both vehicles then pulled off to a safe location. Neither Welch nor Walker had any possible injuries, and Welch was charged with not keeping an assured clear distance ahead.

≤ Evon M. Tice McKown, 44, 8888 McKown Rd., Beverly, driving a 2015 Kia Soul, and Preston James Cecil Brush, 22, 609 ONeal St., Belpre, driving a 2020 Dodge Ram, owned by Par Mar Oil Company, 8199 McKnight Rd., Pittsburgh, were both traveling northbound on Ohio 60 in Muskingum Township Dec. 5 when Brush slowed in the traffic lane and was struck by McKown from behind. Neither McKown nor Brush had any possible injuries, and McKown was charged with not keeping an assured clear distance ahead.

≤ A 17-year-old driving a 2002 Chevy Silverado was traveling westbound on Township Road 1067 in Waterford Township Dec. 9 and was turning left on County Road 32 when John Huck, 65, 10240 State Route 676, Vincent, driving a 2018 GMC Sierra, was traveling northbound on County Road 32 and was struck by the 17-year-old. Neither the 17-year-old nor Huck had any possible injuries, although Huck’s passenger had minor suspected injuries but was not transported. The 17-year-old was charged with not obeying the right of way rule when turning left.
