Meetings

¯ The Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities will be holding an organizational meeting at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, followed by a regular board meeting. The meetings will be held at Ewing School, 1701 Colegate Drive, Marietta, Ohio. All meetings of the WCBDD are open to the public.

¯ Grandview Township will hold its next regular session meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 at the Township Building.

¯ The Tunnel-Warren Chapel United Methodist Churches will provide a Free Community Meal from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 11. Drive-through pick-ups will be in the lower parking lot. To reserve a meal of ham and egg casserole, please contact Amy at (740) 516-0847 by Wednesday evening. Tunnel UMC is located at Ohio 550 and Coffman Rd.

¯ The January Franciscan Community Meals of Marietta Board of Directors meeting will be held on Jan. 11, at the Marietta Wine Cellars, Second St., Marietta.

¯ The Belpre Township Trustees will be holding their regular scheduled meetings at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of every month located at 335 Baker Road, Little Hocking.

Community

Breakfast

Matamoras #374, Free and Accepted Masons, 301 Main Street, New Matamoras will hold a community breakfast buffet from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, hash browns, biscuits, pancakes, cinnamon roll, orange juice, and coffee. The public is invited to attend. Carry out is available. The suggested donation is $7 per person. Profits from the breakfast support Grand Lodge of Ohio Charitable Foundation, the Ohio Masonic Communities, and local charities.

Concert

The Kingsmen will be live in concert at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Cornerstone Gospel Church, 3100 17th Ave., Vienna. $15 suggested donation will be collected at the door. For more information, call Joe Brookover at 304-488-0384.

Make a Snowflake

The Marietta Branch Library will hold snowflake making for those ages 5 through 12 today. All supplies are provided. They will have prepared pattern snowflakes to make and blank paper to create your own. There may even be giant sized ones available (limited supply) and maybe you can make a snowflake out of your name.

Use your imagination! Have fun and celebrate the season in a winter wonderland! No registration is required.

Zumba Classes

Zumba classes will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O’Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.

O’Neill Center

The O’Neill Center in Marietta will hold bingo at 9:30 a.m. Thursdays. No cost at the door to play 20 games and it is a nickel per card per game. Seating is limited. Also scheduled are: a free gentle yoga class at 10 a.m. Tuesdays; bridge at 1 p.m. Tuesdays; euchre at 1 p.m. Wednesdays; hand and foot cards at 1 p.m. Wednesdays; chair volleyball at 9 a.m first and fourth Wednesdays, except the second Wednesday of the month; Free afternoon at the movies at 1 p.m. Thursdays.
