Washington County Commissioners have received the Community Housing Impact and Preservation Grant, which is being operated by Washington Morgan Community Action.
This grant provides full home rehabilitation and home repairs for eligible homeowners.
Applications for Owner Occupied Rehabilitation are now being accepted. Applications will be available at Washington Morgan Community Action Program 698 Wayne Street, Marietta, Ohio.
Community Action Housing personnel will be available at the following location and times to answer questions and help with housing applications:
¯ Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon, 698 Wayne St., Marietta, Ohio
¯ Feb. 15, 9 a.m. to noon, 698 Wayne Street, Marietta, Ohio
All households must meet the following income guidelines:
¯ Family Size – one, maximum income – $43,900
¯ Family size – two, maximum income – $50,200
¯ Family size – three, maximum income – $56,450
¯ Family Size – four, maximum income – $62,700
¯ Family size – five, maximum income – $67,750
¯ Family Size – six, maximum income – $72,750
¯ Family Size – seven, maximum income – $77,750
¯ Family Size – eight, maximum income – $82,800
The grant is slated for the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation, which provides assistance to homeowners living in Washington County. Priority will be given to houses that need major repairs. When applying for this program the home owner must bring proof of all income and assets, property deed, proof of insurance and property tax receipt.
Applications will be accepted until February 29, 2024 and the homes that have the greatest need for repairs will be assisted first until the funds are exhausted.
If funds are still available after the initial application period then applications will continue to be accepted.
The Emergency Home Repair Program will provide assistance to homeowners in a house that needs a repair or accessibility improvement. Priority will be given to homeowners that have a need that threatens their occupancy. The grant was funded by the Ohio Department of Development through the Washington County Commissioners in partnership with the City of Belpre and the City of Marietta and will be operated by Washington Morgan Community Action. Washington Morgan Community Action and the Washington County Commissioners are Equal Housing Opportunity Service Providers.
