Ohio State Highway Patrol
• Kristie L. Reed, 53, 649 Reed Rd., Vincent, was driving a red 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on State Route 339 in Watertown Township Jan. 5 when she traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a traffic, then an embankment and then a ditch. Reed was suspected of having serious injuries and was taken by Watertown EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital. Reed was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
• A 17-year-female from Malta, Ohio, was driving a silver 2009 Saturn Vue traveling eastbound on State Route 676 in Palmer Township Dec. 31 attempting to turn right onto County Road 6. John R. Denhart, 42, was traveling westbound on State Route 676. The 17-year-old failed to yield while turning left and struck Denhart. The 17-year-old was suspected of having minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital. Denhart was suspected of having a possible injury and was not transported to a hospital. The 17-year-old was charged with failure to yield right-of-way when turning left.
• Darrell Alan Knost, 57, 205 Wynnwood Dr., Marietta, was driving a gold 2004 Chevrolet Silverado owned by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services and Susan Laderman Borg, 67, 3184 Tick Ridge Rd., Vincent, was driving a silver 2012 Chevrolet Traverse westbound on State Route 550 in Warren Township Jan. 12. Borg slowed down in traffic and Knost struck Borg in the rear before traveling off the right side of the roadway and striking a culvert. There were no apparent injuries for either driver and neither was transported to the hospital. Knost was charged with operating a motor vehicle at a speed greater than will permit the person to bring it to a stop within the assured clear distance ahead.
• Adol Lestin, 45, 2731 Lake Weston, Orlando, Fla., was driving a tan 2020 Freightliner Cascadia semi-tractor trailer northbound on Interstate 77 in Jefferson Township Jan. 9 and went off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch. No charges were listed in the patrol report. There were no apparent injuries and Lestin was not transported to a hospital.
• Karli Christine Sidwell, 20, 2545 Stadler Dr., Zanesville, was driving a gray 2021 Ford Explorer northbound on Greer Blvd. in Bloom Township Jan. 6 when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox, then came back on the roadway and traveled off the left side and struck a tree. There was no apparent injury and Sidwell was not transported to a hospital. Sidwell was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
• Benjamin James Griffith, 40, 6885 Beard Price Rd, Gloucester, was driving a silver 2016 Nissan Rogue northbound on County Road 4 in Homer Township Jan. 7 when she failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a utility pole, overturned and then struck a tree before coming to a rest. There were no apparent injuries and she was not transported to a hospital. Griffith was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
• Tyler James Zimmer, 25, 1500 Dalzell Rd., Whipple, was driving a blue 2004 Dodge Dakota northbound on County Road 16 in Fearing Township Jan. 6 when he went off the right side of the roadway and struck a phone box, a pile of firewood and a parked white 2010 Ford F-250 owned by Russell T. Farr, 20 Killwell Rd., Marietta. There were no apparent injuries and Zimmer was not transported to a hospital. Zimmer was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
