The ALLY Club
The ALLY Club will meet at 2:45 p.m. today at the Barlow Branch Library. The theme is "Feelings February". Teens will get in touch with their emotions and learn self-care techniques such as journaling, yoga, meditation, setting goals, and sharing gratitude. ALLY Club is open to grades 5-12 and registration is required.
Kid's Valentine's Day Painting
Kid's Valentine's Day Painting at the Belpre Branch Library will be at 4 p.m. today. Kids in grades K-5 can join to paint a pretty picture to keep or give away to a loved one. Registration is required.
Senior Citizens Prom
Students Solving Problems (SSP) at Fort Frye High School will be hosting a senior citizens prom for seniors in the area. The event will be in the Fort Frye High School Gymnasium from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16. For more information, you can contact faculty advisor Pam Bennett at (740) 984-2376.
Wand Crafting
Wand Crafting will be held from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16. Stop by the Marietta Branch Library for some magical crafting. Those ages 5 to 13 can stop by and make their own wand, quill pen, and Monster Book of Monsters. No registration is required.
Evening Book Club
At 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16 at the Belpre Branch Library, this month's evening book club will feature "Electra: A Novel" by Jennifer Saint. This event is for ages 18 and up. Copies can be picked up at the desk today. No registration is required.
Fish Fry
The Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a fish fry from 4-7 p.m. Friday. Feb. 16, at the Salem Fire Department, State Route 821, Lower Salem. The cost is donation based. The menu includes fish, french fries, green beans, applesauce, hot dogs, bread/butter, desserts, and beverages.
Free Drive-Thru Meal
Norwood United Methodist Church will provide a free drive-thru meal, from 4:30 p.m. Friday Feb. 16 in the alley beside the church. Please enter from Vine Street and exit onto Colegate Dr. Serving will be from 4:30 p.m. until food is gone.

St. Mary Catholic School Lenten Fish Fry begins from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16 through Friday, March 22. Dine in, carry out and drive thru options available.

The Beverly American Legion Post 389, 114 5th St., Beverly, will hold a Fish Fry from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16. The meal is $12 and includes fish, fries and coleslaw. Music will follow from 7-10 p.m. The public is welcome.

Benefit for Tamie Hart-Schrader
A benefit for Tamie Hart-Schrader will be held from 1-6 p.m., Feb. 17, at the American Legion, Post 389 in Beverly, Ohio. Spaghetti will be served at 1:00 p.m. for a $10 donation. There will be a silent auction, country store, 50/50, and other activities to win prizes. All proceeds will benefit Tamie, to help her while she is fighting stage 4 cancer.

AARP Tax-Aide
AARP Tax-Aide is offering free tax return preparation for all taxpayers on Mondays and Thursdays through April 11. Schedule appointments by calling Washington County Library (Main Branch) at 740-373-1057. No walk-ins are accepted. Taxpayers should bring all their tax documents including any letters from the IRS along with a copy of last year's tax return plus picture ID and Social Security cards for all family members.
Grief Recovery Support Group
Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta, will be offering a 13-week Grief Recovery Support Group starting from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through April 9. Each session, the group will watch a video, featuring personal stories of those grieving, and hear encouraging information from the grief recovery expert. Zumba Classes
