Regional Council Meeting
The Buckeye Hills Regional Council Executive Committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Buckeye Hills Regional Council office, 1400 Pike Street in Marietta. Get Ready…. Get Set… Go!!!
At 4 p.m. today, kids in grades K-5 can come race against other players and compete for prizes at the Belpre Branch Library. Registration is required.
St. Patrick's Day
Garland Making
Children ages 5-12 can stop by the Marietta Branch Library from 3-5 p.m. Friday to make a St. Patrick's Day Garland. No registration is required.
Fish Fry
¯ Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a fish fry at the Salem VFD Fire Station, State Route 821 Lower Salem from 4-7 p.m. Friday. The menu includes fish, french fries, green beans, applesauce, bread and butter, hot dogs, desserts, and beverages. The cost of a meal is by donation.
¯ Beverly American Legion Post 389, 5th Street Beverly, will be holding a fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Friday. The menu also includes fries and coleslaw. A meal is $12 per person. Music is to follow from 7-10 p.m. The public is welcome.
¯ St. Mary Catholic School Lenten Fish Fry begins from 5-7 p.m. every Friday through March 22. Dine in, carry out and drive thru options available.
Melvin Wainwright Annual Wild Game Feed
Beverly American Legion Post 389, 5th Street, Beverly, will hold the Melvin Wainwright Annual Wild Game Feed from 5-7 p.m. Saturday. Music will be by Sam Clark and Friends. The event is open to the public and donations are accepted. Funds collected will be used to support veterans in Ohio VA Hospitals.
Seuss-A-Palooza!
At 11 a.m. Saturday, join the Belpre Branch Library to celebrate Dr. Seuss' 120th birthday during Seuss-A-Palooza! Enjoy stories, snacks, crafts, and movies. This event is for all ages and registration is required.
Fish Fry
Our Lady of Mercy Church will be holding Lenten Fish Fries from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 8 and March 22. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Drive through pickup for all to-go meals are $12 and there is no need to call ahead.
Youth Softball and Baseball Registration
Marietta Bantam youth softball and baseball registration for ages 5-12 will be from 5-7 p.m. each Friday until March 8 at 211 Linwood Ave, Marietta. You can also register online at www.mariettabantam.net.

Grief Recovery Support Group
Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta, will be offering a 13-week Grief Recovery Support Group starting from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through April 9. Each session, the group will watch a video, featuring personal stories of those grieving, and hear encouraging information from the grief recovery expert. They will also have a discussion/sharing time together. For more information, contact the church at 740-373-6478.

Free Tax Return Preparation
AARP Tax-Aide is offering free tax return preparation for all taxpayers on Mondays and Thursdays through April 11. Schedule appointments by calling Washington County Library (Main Branch) at 740-373-1057. No walk-ins are accepted. Taxpayers should bring all their tax documents including any letters from the IRS along with a copy of last year's tax return plus picture ID and Social Security cards for all family members.
Zumba Classes
Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O'Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.
Ballroom Dancing Classes
Weekly ballroom dancing classes will be held 7-10 p.m. the second, third and fourth Saturdays of the month at Miller Prosthetics, 2311 Ohio Ave., Parkersburg. Dress is casual. Cost is a $5-per-person donation with singles and couples welcome.
