Feb. 1

¯ Police learned of an individual trespassing on properties in the 700 block of Greene Street. The property owners did not want any individuals on their property and requested any individuals found on their property be trespasseda.

Feb. 2

¯ Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Fay Avenue regarding items stolen from a car. The victim said overnight clothing and the keys to her 2007 Honda were taken from the car.

Feb. 4

¯ Police responded to the 400 block of Franklin Street in reference to a female house guest being assaulted inside a home. Brent Allen Carpenter, 47, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on the charge of assault.

¯ Police spoke with loss prevention at the Walmart on Pike Street regarding a shoplifting incident that occurred on Feb. 3.
