The Washington County Career Center - Adult Technical Training announces that they are receiving two grants from the Ohio Department of Higher Education to reduce financial barriers for Ohio residents seeking certification in high-demand employment sectors. These grants represent a crucial step in making training more accessible and affordable for individuals to advance their careers.

The awarded grants, the Talent Ready Grant and the Ohio Work Ready Grant, will provide financial assistance to eligible Ohioans, enabling them to enroll in certification programs at Adult Technical Training. This is not only a boost for the student's career growth but also strengthens the workforce of the Mid-Ohio Valley according to Wendy Ketelsen, financial aid coordinator at The Career Center - Adult Technical Training.

"We are thrilled to receive these grants, which will open up new opportunities for many Ohioans looking to gain essential skills and certifications," said Ketelsen. "Our commitment is to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder motivated individuals from achieving their training goals."

Eligibility for the grants is based on specific criteria, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
