Three family members arrested on drug charges

Agents secured 2288 Sealy Ridge Road with all three subjects, who were wanted on active warrants, inside, according to a release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Donald Eugene Bartimus Jr., 43, was found in possession of a plastic bag containing 1.14 grams of methamphetamine, the release said.
A loaded .22 rifle was found in the kitchen area, where James Bartimus, 50, was located. Officials also discovered a container with 11.71 grams of methamphetamine in a purse belonging to Katherine Louise Bartimus, 42, the release said.
All three subjects were transported to Washington County Jail. Upon arrival, agents discovered a crystal-like substance between where Katherine and Donald Bartimus were seated in the sheriff’s office vehicle, the release said.

A ripped open plastic bag was also found.
The substance tested positive for methamphetamine, the release said.
Donald Bartimus was charged with third-degree felony counts of tampering with evidence and illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility or institution, both third-degree felonies, and possession of a controlled substance, a fifth-degree felony.
He is being held at the jail on a $42,500 bond.
Katherine Bartimus was charged with the same counts and is being held on a $60,000 bond.
