committee meeting

The regular meeting of the Warren Local Board of Education will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Warren High School, Warrior Room (in Building 6), 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent. The board's Operations Committee will meet in the same place at 5.

Reno Area Water and Sewer District Board meeting

The Reno Area Water and Sewer District Board will have their regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Reno Water Office, 170 Mount Tom Road. The public is welcome.

Community meeting to discuss injection wells

Torch Can Do!, the Buckeye Environmental Network and ACFAN (Athens County's Future Action Network) will be hold a community meeting regarding what is happening at the K&H Injection Wells at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Coolville Elementary School, 26461 Main St., Coolville. Volunteer Fire

Department fish fry

Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a fish fry from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 15 at the Salem Fire Station, State Route 821, Lower Salem. The cost for a meal is by donation only. A meal includes fish, french fries, green beans, applesauce, hot dogs, homemade bread, desserts and beverages. The fish fry will also include various raffles.

Free drive-through meal at Norwood UMC

Norwood United Methodist Church will provide a free drive-through meal at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, until the food is gone. Please enter the alley on Vine Street and exit onto Colegate Drive.

MOV'n Dragons pasta dinner fundraiser

MOV'n Dragons will hold a pasta dinner fundraiser from 5-7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 100 Mill Creek Road, Marietta. The meal includes your choice of meat sauce or vegetarian sauce, salad, bread and dessert. To-go containers are available. Tickets are $12 in advance or $14 at the door and $5 for children under 5 years of age. Tickets can be purchased from any team member or by calling 740-336-1140. The benefit will also have a silent auction.

Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department Easter egg hunt

Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Easter Egg hunt at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at the fire station, 102 Oak Grove Lane. Children through age 12 are invited.

I'm With the Banned Book Club event at Beverly library

The I'm With the Banned Book Club will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the Beverly Branch Library, 300 McIntosh St., to discuss Angie Thomas's "The Hate U Give." Each month a new challenged book is chosen for discussion. Participants will discuss why some say they need to be removed and why others say they need to stay. Disclaimer: The books chosen for this book discussion have content that someone has found disagreeable. Copies are available at the library and using the Libby or Hoopla app. This event is for ages 18 and up. No registration is required.

Barlow library's Family Book Club

The Barlow Branch Library's Family Book Club will meet from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Fridays at the library, 45 White Oak Professional Center, Vincent. The book club is designed for second-grade children or older and their families. Each meeting will include a reading, a discussion and related activities. They will be reading two graphic novels; "Stargazing and Lo" and "Behold." Call the library at 740-678-0103 to register and reserve a copy of the book. Attendees who participate in the book club will receive a pair of eclipse glasses.

Marietta library Puzzle Exchange

From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23, the Marietta branch of the Washington County Public Library will host a puzzle exchange. People may drop off puzzles Thursday and Friday, March 21 and 22. Puzzles are as is, so users beware. Each person will receive a voucher for each puzzle dropped off. Puzzles cannot have any nudity or profanity. Leftover puzzles will be donated.
