Beginning Monday, city employees will perform a Marietta Clean Sweep with the intent of cleaning city streets ahead of spring.
The initiative will continue until all streets are completed in the following order: Front Street even numbers, to Second Street odd numbers, to Third Street even numbers, to Fourth Street odd numbers, continuing that pattern up to Tenth Street. Crews will then return to Front Street to clean the opposite sides of the street (so residents can park on the opposite sides during cleaning). After finishing the numbered streets, city crews will proceed to the cross streets: Scammel to Marion. Crews will then continue on to the West Side, Harmar Hill, Norwood, South side, North Hills, Rathbone, Downtown, bridges, Fort. Harmar Drive, Muskingum Drive, and Pike Street.
City officials will post updates daily to assist with parking arrangements.
