Three arrested in Belpre Twp. traffic stop

hree subjects were arrested for trafficking and possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl during a traffic stop Thursday night in Belpre Township.
A release from the Sheriff's Office Feb. 29 stated agents with the Southeast Ohio Major Crimes Task Force recovered 3.35 pounds of methamphetamines during a traffic stop.
Agents were patrolling U.S. 50 when a traffic violation was observed on a vehicle with West Virginia registration.
During the traffic stop, contact was made with the driver, Kaitlyn Hess, and passengers Amber Clark-Pettry and Timothy Jenkins. K9 Timmy was deployed and a free air sniff conducted on the vehicle.
After he conducted a free air sniff, K9 Timmy gave a positive indication on the driver's door.
A search of the vehicle then yielded approximately 3.35 pounds of methamphetamines, 33.65 grams of suspected fentanyl, along with digital scales.
Hess, 25, 1416 Bear Creek Church Road, Mocksville, N.C., was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, both first degree felonies.
Jenkins, 44, 11157 Munday Road, Munday, W.Va., was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, both first degree felonies.
Clark-Pettry, 27, 708 32nd St., Parkersburg, W.Va., was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, trafficking in fentanyl and possession of fentanyl, all first degree felonies.
All subjects will remain incarcerated in the Washington County Jail until their initial appearance in Marietta Municipal Court.
