Warren Local School District Board of Education special meeting
The Warren Local School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. today, at Warren High School, Rooms 1710/1711, 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss business related to the emergency levy renewal.
Aurelius Masonic Lodge No. 308 open house
There will be an open house at Aurelius Masonic Lodge No. 308, 46 Mechanics St., Macksburg, between 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 13. Come and visit the historic lodge and learn about the Masonic fraternity.

Painting class
The Watering Can Art Studio from the Grand Central Mall will be teaching a painting class at the Barlow Branch library from 1-3 p.m. today. The cost for the class is $26.75. Payment must be made at the library by Friday, March 29 in cash or by check. Registration is required.
Baked steak or pork tenderloin dinner
A baked steak or pork tenderloin dinner will be held at the Macksburg United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. today. The meals are $13 each and are carryout only. The Women's Group will sponsor the meal. For more information about the dinner, contact Donna at 740-509-0159 or Darla at 740-509-0550.
Sidewalk chalk painting
At 4 p.m. today, at the Belpre Branch library, kids in grades K-5 can come to make a giant, stained-glass-style sidewalk chalk painting. Registration is required.
Free community meal
The Tunnel-Warren Chapel United Methodist Churches, Ohio 550 and Coffman Rd., will provide a free community meal from 5-6 p.m. today. Drive-through and pick-ups will be available in the lower parking lot. To reserve a meal, contact Amy at (740) 516-0847 by Wednesday evening.
National Fondue Day event
At 6 p.m. today, the Beverly Branch library will celebrate National Fondue Day by learning about Fondue. This event is for teens and adults. No registration is required.
Noble County Gold performance
Noble County Performing Arts will present Noble County Gold at 7 p.m. today, tomorrow and Saturday in the Caldwell High School Auditorium at 516 Fairground St. Tickets are available at Patty's Place, Kathy's Kitchen or any performing arts member. Tickets can be reserved by calling Darla at 740-732-5281.
Galaxy art making
From 3-5 p.m. Friday, April 12, at the Marietta Branch library, come make Galaxy Art with Acrylics to be displayed at Art in the Alley. This event is open to all ages and no registration is required.
Sugar and Spice Book Club
The Sugar and Spice Book Club will be meeting at 5 p.m. Friday, April 12, at the Belpre Branch library, to discuss “Raiders of the Lost Heart” by Jo Segura. Copies will be available for pickup at the library desk. This book club is for those 18 and older.
Spaghetti dinner
VFW Post #5108, 319 Pike St., Marietta, will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner, from 5-7 p.m. April 12. A meal is $9 per person. For carryout or more information, call 740-374-9038.
Pancake and sausage breakfast
The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m.-12 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at the fire station, 102 Oak Grove Lane. The cost is by donation only.
High tea
At 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Belpre Branch library, those ages 5 and up can don their finest royal attire and join the court for high tea. Tea, lemonade, and refreshments will be provided. Registration is required.
Pop art making
Join the Marietta Branch library at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, to create art in Andy Warhol’s "pop art" style. Art created will be displayed at Art in the Alley. This event is open to all ages and no registration is required.
Leftover craft event
Have you missed some of the Marietta Branch library's arts and crafts events? They will be holding Leftover Craft Events from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 13. Come see the assortment they have available including Paint by Sticker, Friendship Bracelets, Mandalas, and Character Drawing. Drop in anytime and stay for as long as you’d like (or until the library closes), as well as collect supplies and take them home to complete your project. All supplies are provided. These events are open to all ages and no registration is required.
African Drum class
African Drum Class will meet from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta Social Hall; 232 3rd Street, Marietta. Master Drummer Lawrence Greene will lead the workshop. A suggested donation of $15 to $20 is appreciated. Advance registration is required. Call Rev. Blessing Birds mental health help benefit fundraiser
Blessing Birds, an organization aimed at providing financial assistance where funds are usually lacking, will hold a Mental Health Help Benefit Fundraiser at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the Belpre Bingo Hall, 133 Stone Road, Belpre. There will be a country store, 50/50, gift card raffle, cake raffle and concession stand. For any questions, call Lauren Allen at 740-315-2084.
Marietta Township School reunion
The Marietta Township School Reunion will be noon May 18 at the Marietta Township Community Building in Reno. Schools include former students and teachers of Sandhill, Reno, Goose Run, Jennings Hill, Cornerville, Barker, Yankeeburg and Eight Mile. Meat, coffee, tea and table service provided. Lawrence Alumni Reunion
The Friends of Lawrence School are currently planning a reunion. This event will be held on June 1 at Frontier High School. For those that graduated from Lawrence School, they have your address. Grief Recovery Support Group
Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta, will be offering a 13-week Grief Recovery Support Group starting from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through April 9. Each session, the group will watch a video, featuring personal stories of those grieving, and hear encouraging information from the grief recovery expert. Zumba Classes
Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O'Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.
Ballroom Dancing Classes
Weekly ballroom dancing classes will be held 7-10 p.m. the second, third and fourth Saturdays of the month at Miller Prosthetics, 2311 Ohio Ave., Parkersburg. Dress is casual. Cost is a $5-per-person donation with singles and couples welcome.
