Three Akron men charged with drug trafficking were among 25 defendants indicted this week by the Washington County Grand Jury.

Danzell Larrylee Sullivan, 20, 900 Frederick Blvd.; Christopher James Shrake, 50, 638 Hammel St.; and Paris Dean Timmons, 32, 7 Courtland Drive, were each indicted on first-degree felony counts of possession of and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, and fifth-degree felony counts of possession of and trafficking in cocaine.

They were arrested on Oct. 31, 2023, after a traffic stop on Interstate 77 at mile marker 10 in Salem Township.

According to a release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at the time, their vehicle was observed committing lane violations and following too closely.

After the stop, a K9 indicated on the front driver’s side door after conducting a free air sniff.

Searches revealed approximately 75.7 grams of suspected fentanyl concealed on Sullivan and approximately 9.76 grams of suspected fentanyl and 5.8 grams of suspected cocaine concealed on Timmons, the release said.

Shrake was driving the vehicle and reportedly said he was giving Sullivan and Timmons a ride to Marietta and back to Akron.

Also indicted this week were:

* Chelsea Marie Curry, 34, 309 Riverside Drive, St. Marys, theft from a person in a protected class and breaking and entering, both fifth-degree felonies. Co-defendant Joseph Franklin Wells Jr., 33, 34184 State Route 7, Newport, two counts of complicity in the commission of a felony, both fifth-degree felonies.

* Aalandiss A.J. Lynch, 24, 2732 11th St. SW, Canton, grand theft and passing bad checks, both fourth-degree felonies.

* Jeremiah O. Casto, 26, 3625 Pickard St., Parkersburg, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both fifth-degree felonies.

* Noah Luke Rutter, 26, 101 Ingleside Ave., Marietta, trafficking in marijuana, fourth-degree felony; two counts of endangering children, first-degree misdemeanors; and possession of marijuana, fifth-degree felony.

* Frank Lamott Richards, 60, 7355 Cloverbrook Ave., Cincinnati, possession of cocaine, fifth-degree felony, and unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, fifth-degree felony, with a weapon forfeiture specification.

* Jamie L. Chapman, 21, 5070 Boso St., Belpre, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony.

* Zachary Alan Johnson, 23, 913 Fifth St., Apt. B, Marietta, two counts of strangulation, one a third-degree felony and one a fourth; and one count of domestic violence, fourth-degree felony.

* Jonathan Cole Moore, 29, 68 ½ North Seventh St., McConnelsville, failure to appear as required by recognizance, fourth-degree felony.

* Darren Michael Mallett, 24, 321 Oak St., Zanesville, failure to appear as required by recognizance, fourth-degree felony.

* Dakota Ryan Waite, 32, no address provided, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony.

*Charles Edward Haught III, 40, 1902 Sandhill Road, Marietta, aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, both third-degree felonies.

* Felisha Elizabeth Ann Casto, 33, 236 Francis Road, Lowell, having weapons while under disability and aggravated possession of drugs, both third-degree felonies; aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felony with two specifications for cell phone forfeiture and specifications for gun and money forfeiture; aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; and receiving proceeds of an offense subject to forfeiture proceedings, fifth-degree felony with a property forfeiture specification. Co-defendant Corey Thomas Sapp Jr., 33, 236 Francis Road, Lowell, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony. Co-defendant Jerry Lee Caldwell, 69, 2095 Rocky Point Road, Fleming, possession of criminal tools, fifth-degree felony.

* Deshawn Marqui Tatum, 28, 1029 Sixth Ave., Akron, and Devonn Michael Hatcher, 28, 802 Ina Court, Akron; one first-degree felony count each of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, one second-degree felony count each of trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin and one fifth-degree felony count each of aggravated possession of drugs.

* Charles Ray Buck, 51, 936 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony.

* Stephen Andrew Cole, 38, 2904 Washington Blvd., Belpre; aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony.

* David Kyle Blasingame, 30, 2066 Pleasant Home Ridge Road, Belleville; first-degree felony counts of trafficking in and possession of a fentanyl-related compound and second-degree felony counts of aggravated trafficking in and possession of drugs. The trafficking counts each carry a money forfeiture specification.

* Ayla-Marie Satin Cox-Whealdon, 32, last known address 613 10th St., Marietta; two third-degree felony counts of tampering with evidence. Co-defendant Keith Tyler Whealdon, 31, same last known address; one count of third-degree felony tampering with evidence.
