Western Washington County Historical Society Meeting
The Western Washington County Historical Society will hold a meeting at Living Faith Church, 6775 State Route 339, Vincent at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 9. They will host Deb Root Shell, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, where she will present “Travels Through Time, The Root Family: A pioneer family of Decatur and Fairfield Townships".

Free community meal
The Tunnel-Warren Chapel United Methodist Churches, Ohio 550 and Coffman Rd., will provide a free community meal from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, May 9, as drive-through pick-ups will be in the lower parking lot. To reserve a meatloaf meal, please contact 740-516-0847 by Wednesday evening.
Grilled chicken dinner
VFW Post #5108, 319 Pike St., Marietta, will be holding a grilled chicken dinner from 5-7 p.m., May 10. A meal is $10 per person, and comes with a baked potato, green beans and a roll. For more information or carryout, call 740-374-9038.
Quarter auction cancelation
Moose Lodge #118's quarter auction scheduled for May 11 has been canceled.
Mother's Day Dinner
A Mother's Day Dinner will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at St. Henry's Catholic Church, St. Rt. 145 Harrietsville, Lower Salem.
The cost is $15 for adults and $7 for children 10 and under. The meal includes chicken or ham and sides. Take-out is available in the basement serving line. For information, contact Debbie Biehl at 740-373-2882.
Marietta Township School reunion
The Marietta Township School Reunion will be noon May 18 at the Marietta Township Community Building in Reno. Schools include former students and teachers of Sandhill, Reno, Goose Run, Jennings Hill, Cornerville, Barker, Yankeeburg and Eight Mile. Meat, coffee, tea and table service provided. Lawrence Alumni Reunion
The Friends of Lawrence School are currently planning a reunion. This event will be held on June 1 at Frontier High School. For those that graduated from Lawrence School, they have your address. Classes/Workshops/Seminars
Zumba Classes
Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O'Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.
Ballroom Dancing Classes
Weekly ballroom dancing classes will be held 7-10 p.m. the second, third and fourth Saturdays of the month at Miller Prosthetics, 2311 Ohio Ave., Parkersburg. Dress is casual. Cost is a $5-per-person donation with singles and couples welcome.
