Reno Area Water and Sewer District Board Meeting

The Reno Area Water and Sewer District Board will hold their regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. today, at the Reno Water Office, 170 Mount Tom Road. The public is welcome.

Southeastern Ohio Port Authority Meeting

The Southeastern Ohio Port Authority will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 22. The meeting will be held in the County Commissioner’s office at 223 Putnam Street, Marietta. Agendas will be available at the meeting or by request at info@seohioport.com.

Cedarville School Reunion

The Cedarville School Reunion will be held Saturday, May 25, at the Cedar Creek State Park Activities Building. Come bring family, a covered dish, and an auction item. All eating supplies, drinks, and rolls will be provided.

Steak fry

Beverly American Legion Post 389, 114 Fifth St., Beverly, will hold a public steak fry from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, May 25. A meal is $15 per person and includes steak, baked potato, salad and a roll.

Fish fry

VFW Post #5108, 319 Pike St., Marietta, will be holding a fish fry from 5-7 p.m., May 31. A meal is $10 per person. For more information or carryout, call 740-374-9038.

Community breakfast buffet

Matamoras #374, Free and Accepted Masons, 301 Main Street, New Matamoras, will be holding a community breakfast buffet, from 8 – 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, hash browns, biscuits, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, orange juice, and coffee. The public is invited to attend. Carry out is available. The suggested donation is $7 per person. Profits from the breakfast will go to support the Grand Lodge of Ohio Charitable Foundation, the Ohio Masonic Communities, and local charities.

Stanleyville School Reunion

The annual Stanleyville School Reunion will be held at noon, Saturday June 1, at the Stanleyville Community Building, 1995 Stanleyville Rd, Whipple. All former students and their families are invited to attend. Bring a covered dish for the potluck meal. Drinks and table service will be furnished. Meat will not be furnished this year. A raffle, 5/50 drawing and door prizes will also be included at the reunion. A social hour will be from 11 a.m. until noon. Come and enjoy a day with former classmates and ole friends.

Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department Ice Cream Social

The Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department will be holding their annual Ice Cream Social at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 1 at the Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department Station, State Route 821, Lower Salem. In addition to ice cream, they will also have fish, french fries, green beans, applesauce, hot dogs, desserts, and beverages. Festivities include a country store, a bouncy house, and live music from Pick'in on Country. There will be parking attendants on hand and a shuttle will transport attendees from the parking areas to the building.

Friends of Lawrence School Reunion

The Friends of Lawrence School are planning a reunion for June 1 at Frontier High School. The group has addresses for those that graduated from Lawrence School, but if the address has changed, people are asked to text the new address to Jeannie Henthorn at 740-236-8254. Anyone that ever attended Lawrence High School is invited. Invitations are being planned to go out mid-April. The reunion will include a country store, raffles, a meal and much more.

Village of Lowell Shop, Swap, and Stroll

The Village of Lowell will be holding their Shop, Swap, and Stroll scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month, during the months of May, June, July and August. This event is for farm market, craft, food truck, flea market and yard sale vendors. Each event will have a theme. There is no cost to participate as a vendor, although the Village of Lowell requires a small fee to set up as a food truck vendor. Donations are welcome and appreciated. Collected donations go to upkeep and maintenance of Lowell’s Buell Park. The next Shop Swap and Stroll is scheduled for June 5 at Lowell Buell Island Park, Lowell, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. For more information, private message the committee on Facebook messenger and a committee member will get back to you.

Classes/Workshops/Seminars

Zumba Classes

Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O'Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.

Ballroom Dancing Classes

Weekly ballroom dancing classes will be held 7-10 p.m. the second, third and fourth Saturdays of the month at Miller Prosthetics, 2311 Ohio Ave., Parkersburg. Dress is casual. Cost is a $5-per-person donation with singles and couples welcome.

Free Western Dance Lessons

The YMCA of Marietta will be holding free Western Dance Lessons from 7-9 p.m. every Tuesday. For more information call 740-374-7030.
