Ely Chapman Education Foundation receives ODNR grant

The Ely Chapman Education Foundation in Marietta has received an Aquatic Education Grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to help students attending the Ely Chapman after school or summer camp programs to learn the basics of fishing.

Students will participate in fishing events and by visiting a fish hatchery and fish management program at Hocking College.

The grant provides for all fishing gear and transportation and will help support the aquarium at the Ely Chapman Education Center.

Activities will run through the remainder of the school year and the first three weeks of summer camp.

The 2024 10-week Summer Camp begins June 10 for students in grades K-6 and camp spaces remain available.

Financial aid will be available for qualified families.
