The Castle’s Historic Tour of Homes taking place this weekend

The Historic Tour of Homes presented by The Castle will take place again this year Saturday and Sunday.

Experience historic Marietta through a tour of eleven homes in the first established settlement of the Northwest Territory. Whether you are a collector, architect, historian, photographer, or just love old homes, this tour includes a location to pique your interests! Homes on Saturday will be different from homes on Sunday. Six homes, including The Castle Museum, will be featured on Saturday, with five different homes on Sunday's tour.

On both days tours begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. "Single Day" tickets can be purchased on The Castle's website or at The Castle's Carriage House for $30 and will include all houses featured on the day of your choice, either Saturday or Sunday.

With the purchase of a "Weekend Pass" for $50, you will be able to visit all of the homes featured on each day. Tickets can not be purchased at any of the homes on the tour. We advise purchasing your tickets in advance.

With the purchase of your ticket, you may visit as many or as few of the stops as you wish. Many of the homes featured are within walking distance of each other, although you may drive to locations if preferred.

The Castle, built in 1855, offers a wide array of tours, educational opportunities, and programs. Tours are available starting in April and many history-related events throughout the year. Offerings include: local historical mock trials, food history, archaeology, summer camps, school and scout education, cemetery tours, teas and luncheons, wedding and facility rental, and much more.
