MARIETTA – Marietta College announced today that Susan D. Stuebner will not be the next president of the school.

According to an MC media release, Stuebner is not joining MC as its 21st president due to an unforeseen change in her personal circumstances.

The college announced in April that Stuebner, who is the president of Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, would be its next president and formally introduced to the campus in May.

Today’s release said Interim President Margaret L. Drugovich will continue to lead the school through the rest of 2024.

The MC Board of Trustees will share more information on the school’s long-term leadership plan in the coming weeks, the release said.
