From best barber shop to favorite concrete contractor and bingo hall to brake service, the winners of the 2024 Marietta Times Readers’ Choice will be revealed Monday.

A special section in Monday’s edition will showcase the 579 top vote-getters, both overall winners and finalists, across 192 subcategories in 10 main divisions: Body and Soul, Entertainment and Travel, Food and Dining, Health and Beauty, Home and Garden, Kids and Education, Pets, Services, Shopping and Vehicles

They can also be viewed online at mariettatimes.com/readerschoice.

Readers submitted nominees, then narrowed the field to five in May and cast the deciding votes in June.

People could vote once per day in each category during the seven-day voting periods. More than 86,000 votes were cast in the first round and more than 76,000 in the final.

“Vote counts were up significantly this year,” said Lisa Northcraft, advertising director for The Marietta Times.

The votes were tallied by an independent third party.

“It’s always exciting to see who the readers select as their favorites from among the many wonderful businesses that make the Mid-Ohio Valley such a unique place to live and work,” Marietta Times Publisher Jim Spanner said.
