Churchtown Community Crew 4-H Club held their meeting on Sunday June 23, 2024, at noon at the St. John School Pavillon. Jaslynn Casto led the pledge of allegiance and Alaina Wells led the 4-H pledge. Roll call was to your favorite movie. Secretary Jaslynn Casto read the minutes from the previous meeting, and they were approved as read. Emma Poulton then gave a treasurer's report. Jaslynn Casto gave a devotion titled, "Trust in the Lord." Alyssa Dyar gave a safety report on swimming safety and Alaina Wells gave a health report on the health benefits of camping. For a song, the Cloverbuds led the club in singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." Then the Cloverbuds were dismissed and the club discussed old and new business. Under old business, the club discussed 4-H Camp and the garden clinic. We also discussed community service projects and decided to postpone trash pickup day due to the weather. Under new business, we informed everyone that feeder calf tag-in is July 13, project judging is July 11 and skillathon is July 20. We also discussed the trash can painting contest and public speaking contest coming up. Jaslynn Casto moved to adjourn the meeting, and Emma Poulton seconded the motion. After the meeting was adjourned, Emma Poulton gave her demonstration and the club members were given an official copy of our club bylaws, constitution, member list nd calendar. The next meeting will be on July 14 at the St. John School Pavillion, and refreshments will be brought by the Dyar family.
