Parkersburg Art Center fundraiser ‘Tastes and Tunes’ to return on July 20

By Wayne Towner 2 min read

PARKERSBURG – The Parkersburg Art Center will host a fundraising event, Tastes and Tunes, on Saturday, July 20, from 7-10 p.m. at the 700 block of Market Street in downtown Parkersburg.

“This evening promises good food, music, and company, combining the relaxation of a summer night under the stars with fundraising to support our exhibits, public art projects, and discounted senior art lessons,” said Jessie Siefert, Managing Director of the Parkersburg Art Center.

An event wristband includes a concert, a fully catered meal, desserts, and custom coffees and teas. Valley Catering will prepare a menu featuring pork tenderloin with garlic potatoes, shrimp pesto pasta, pasta primavera, chicken marsala, bruschetta, and a selection of appetizers. Desserts will include chocolate-covered strawberries and brownies.

Live music by Micah Kesselring will be featured throughout the evening. Yard games will add to the casual party vibe. Guests can also explore galleries and visit the artist market gift shop throughout the evening.

Drink and game tickets will be sold at the gate to streamline purchases once inside. Parkersburg Brewing Company beers and a selection of wines curated by WineDown on Market will be available for purchase, with water, tea, and lemonade provided with the meal.

Tickets will also grant access to the Wine/Prize Wheel, where every spin wins prizes ranging from a few dollars to $100 in value.

Reservations are available online at https://www.parkersburgartcenter.org until July 18, allowing Valley Catering ample time to prepare. Tickets are $35 for singles or $60 for couples.

This fundraiser for the Parkersburg Art Center will happen rain or shine because the PAC is big and can move the whole party indoors if necessary. The galleries, PAC 713 Market and option for indoor dining will be open throughout the event so attendees can step in if it proves to be another hot evening.

The Parkersburg Art Center extends its gratitude to sponsors who made this event possible: Mary Riccobene, WVU Medicine CCMC, Jan Dils Attorneys at Law, Hughes Properties, United Bank, Parkersburg Brewing Co., Wine Down on Market, Holl's Chocolates, Unity Cafe, Sir Speedy, SMP Live, and Dan Marshall.
