Harvest Moon Arts and Crafts Festival to return to City Park this weekend

PARKERSBURG — The 2024 Harvest Moon Arts and Crafts Festival will return to City Park on Saturday and Sunday with a wide variety of arts and crafts vendors.
Admission is $5 per person with children under 3 admitted free. The festival will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days.
The festival serves as a fundraiser for the Wood County Recreation Commission. The Harvest Moon Festival has been an outlet for a lot of local artisans and each year’s event features many vendors. Some of the crafters may also be giving demonstrations of their work.
There will be apple butter stirring, inflatables, pony rides, caricature portraits by JD Williamson, a petting zoo and other attractions.
Also on Saturday and Sunday, City Park will host the Mayor’s Pickleball Tournament to benefit the YMCA of Parkersburg.
Registration closed Wednesday for competitors.
Those wanting to watch the action on the park’s pickleball courts can see the Women’s Doubles at 9 a.m. and the Men’s Doubles at 1 p.m. Saturday and the Mixed Doubles at 1 p.m. Sunday.
