Marietta Times Police Reports
The Marietta Police Department released the following reports Feb. 4:
Jan. 28
¯ An officer responded to Speedway at 100 Seventh St. in reference to an assault. An investigation determined an irate customer threw hot coffee on an employee inside the gas station and left before police arrived.
¯ A juvenile was taken to the juvenile center after officers were dispatched to Marietta High School in reference to a juvenile assault.
¯ An officer was dispatched to a Kenwood Street address in reference to a possible protection order violation.
¯ An officer was dispatched to First Settlement Bank in reference to a forged check being passed. The suspect was identified.
¯ Robert L. Nolan, 43, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Jan. 29
¯ Derek D. Oldfield, 39, was arrested on an active warrant at 506 Pike St. after officers received an anonymous tip about his location.
¯ Brandie M. Doan, 48, was arrested on a charge of theft and released on a personal recognizance bond after allegedly stealing goggles and a toy gun, with a combined value of $86, from Bridgeport Equipment and Tool.
Jan. 30
¯ An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 804 Pike St., in reference to a shoplifting complaint. The suspects turned over the $112 in merchandise but fled prior to the officer’s arrival. One of the parties was identified, and charges are pending.
Jan. 31
¯ An officer responded to a Hillcrest Drive location to investigate a reported assault. A report was taken.
¯ An officer was dispatched to Marietta Memorial Hospital in reference to a theft. A manager advised of an employee theft. Statements and documentation were collected.
¯ An officer was dispatched to Kroger, 40 Acme St., in reference to a theft report. Statements were taken and closed-circuit camera footage of a theft on Jan. 30 was observed.
¯ An officer was dispatched to Speedway, 100 N. Seventh St., in reference to a theft complaint. A suspect was identified, and charges were to be filed for theft of an energy drink.
¯ An officer was dispatched to 216 Wyoming St. in reference to dog feces being thrown on the property and residence.
Feb. 2
¯ An officer responded to the 1200 block of Greene Street in reference to a man allegedly ingesting methamphetamines. The individual was found walking in the middle of the road, shirtless, in 24-degree weather. He was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital, and a summons was requested for disorderly conduct by intoxication.
¯ An officer responded to 315 Colegate Drive in reference to a female suffering from mental health issues. Found to be at risk of physical harm to herself, she was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Feb. 3
¯ A complainant met with an officer at the station in reference to a stalking situation.
