Rotten to the core: Fort Frye Music Department to perform “Descendants: The Musical”

BEVERLY — The Fort Frye High School Music Department will be performing “Descendants: The Musical” this weekend in Beverly.

Performances will be Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at the door and are $7 for adults and $5 for students/youth.

The musical will be presented in the Fort Frye High School Auditorium in Beverly and doors will open 45 minutes before the show.

The production is directed by Tyler Hartline, Fort Frye High School Music Educator, and choreographed by Ashley Schultheis.

“Descendants: The Musical” is a high-energy stage adaptation of Disney’s “Descendants” franchise. Set in the kingdom of Auradon, the story follows Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos–the children of infamous Disney villains–who are given a chance to leave their isolated home, the Isle of the Lost, and attend Auradon Prep.

As they adjust to their new lives among the children of heroes, they must decide whether to follow in their parents’ evil footsteps or forge their own paths.
