A Night At The Races – Kentucky Derby Party to be held May 3
The Knights of Columbus 4617 will host the fifth annual A Night at the Races – Kentucky Derby Party at 17472 Ohio 676, Marietta, on Saturday, May 3.
Guests should pull out their derby attire and big hats for this adults-only night of wagering on horse races, food, drinks, and fun while supporting the Knights of Columbus 4617 Building Capital Improvement Fund.
Tickets are $35 each or $280 a table (eight people). Doors open at 4 p.m., heavy appetizers by Big Food Little Kitchen (Katie Wainwright-Tucker) at 5 p.m., and races begin at 5:30 p.m. Bet on the Kentucky Derby plus 10 other races for a total of 11 horse races throughout the night. The last race of the night will be an Auction Race where individuals or groups will bid to own one of the 10 horses in that race. If their horse is the winner of that race, they get half of the money made off the auction portion.
All guests throughout the night can bet on any of the horses in the races and bets are $2 a horse. In addition to horse racing, there will be a 50/50 drawing, Just Ducky, Magic Envelope, Three Race Trifecta and more games of chance. There will also be a big hat and best dressed contest.
