John Lehman has resigned as a member of the Marietta Board of Education, a statement released by the board Tuesday night said.

The statement said Lehman resigned Monday night and the remaining board members will begin the steps to address the vacancy in accordance with district policy and Ohio Revised Code.

Lehman was thanked by the board for his service. Lehman was not immediately available for comment.
