The 2025-2026 Fort Frye officer team kicked off the year with a weekend retreat to the breathtaking Red River Gorge area in Kentucky. This trip was filled with team bonding, reflection, and plenty of unforgettable memories.
The weekend was packed with adventure, from late-night games to cave kayaking through crystal-clear waters, the officers bonded in many ways.
The team also hiked to the iconic Natural Bridge, where they took in stunning views and snapped plenty of photos. In between the outdoor excursions, officers cooked meals together, shared stories, and spent time laughing, connecting, and building strong friendships that will carry into the year ahead.
This retreat was more than just fun, it was a meaningful time to reflect on the previous year’s accomplishments, discuss areas for growth, and begin planning an exciting map for the chapter’s year ahead. Students completed a SWOT analysis – Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats for the program. In addition, they set SMART goals, designed a Program of Activities in three divisions of Growing Leaders, Building Communities, and Strengthening Agriculture, as well as setting the calendar with dates for the year. Students brought ideas for new activities and events to best meet the needs of our school, and built leadership skills by discussing the purpose and expectations of serving as an officer.
With renewed focus and inspiration, the officer team is returning energized and united, ready to lead with purpose and passion. Here’s to a year of growth, connection, and making big things happen. The officer team can’t wait to make 2025-2026 the best year yet!
