¯ Paul W. Boling, 47, 817 North 12th St., Cambridge, driving a 2005 Harley Davidson CVO V-Rod, owned by passenger Krista M. Boling, 39, same address, was traveling south on Interstate 77 in Muskingum Township Aug. 26 off the ramp for exit 6 and traveled off the left side of the road, causing the passenger to separate from the vehicle and strike a road sign. The vehicle overturned, and Boling was separated from the vehicle. Boling had suspected minor injuries and was taken by the Marietta Fire Department to Marietta Memorial Hospital. The passenger was taken by the Devola Fire Department to Marietta Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. No safety gear was worn at the time of the crash. Information regarding charges will be supplemented at a later date.

¯ An unknown driver in what appeared to be a Pontiac Grand Am was traveling west on Washington County 3 (Veto Road) in Dunham Township Aug. 26 while Sherri L. Helon, 53, 9507 Federal Road, Cutler, driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue, was traveling east. The unknown driver was turning left and struck Helon. After the crash, the unknown driver drove off. Helon had possible injuries but was not transported.

¯ Holly B. Gerstell, 29, 2500 27th Ave., Parkersburg, driving a 2018 Ford Escape, owned by Susan Gerstell, 319 Fitzhugh St., Ravenswood, was traveling east on Ohio 550 in Marietta Township Aug. 27 when Crystal G. O’Grady, 49, 11 Heldman Road, Wingett Run, driving a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer, was traveling south on Ohio 7. Gerstell failed to yield from a stop sign and was struck by O’Grady. Gerstell was charged with failure to yield. O’Grady had suspected minor injuries and was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

¯ Donald R. Wargo, 67, 628 1/2 Pearl St., Marietta, driving a 1999 GMC Sierra, and Makayla M. Lynch, 27, 20095 State Route 550, Marietta, driving a 2018 Ford Focus, were both traveling east on Ohio 550 in Marietta Township Aug. 27 when Wargo struck Lynch. Lynch and a passenger had possible injuries and were taken by Reno EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital. Wargo was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.

¯ An unknown driver was stopped in a private drive off Ohio 339 in Dunham Township Aug. 27 when Bailey A. Saliba, 19, 268 Holdren Road, Little Hocking, driving a 2013 Ford Focus, owned by James E. Moore, same address, was traveling south on Ohio 339 when she came to a stop to turn into a private drive and the unknown driver traveled onto Ohio 339 northbound and hit Saliba. No injuries or charges were listed.

¯ A minor driving a 2005 Honda Accord, owned by Clinton R. Shriver, 61 Benjamin Road North West, Malta, was traveling northeast on Morgan County 92 in inclement weather in Malta Township Aug. 28, when Kamryn A. Rheyne-Deluna, 18, 1719 S. Bald Eagle Road, Stockport, driving a 2005 GMC Sierra, was traveling southwest. The Accord traveled onto the left side of the road, hit the guardrail and hit Rheyne-Deluna. No injuries were reported, and Shriver was charged with driving left of center.

¯ Brian A. Hupp, 55, 112 Windy Ridge Road, Vincent, driving a 2011 Kia Sorento, was traveling west on Washington County 30 in Dunham Township Aug. 29 and struck David W. Long, 67, 3022 Veto Road, Vincent, driving a 2014 Cadillac SRX. Long was stopped at the intersection of Washington County 30 and Ohio 339. No injuries were listed. Hupp was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.

¯ Margaret A. Semon, 79, 19500 State Route 339, Waterford, driving a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander, was stopped on Ohio 339 in Waterford Township Aug. 30 in the southbound lane waiting to turn left when a southbound 2009 Toyota Corolla, owned by Todd W. McCutcheon, 11055 State Route 676, Vincent, struck Semon’s vehicle in the rear. No injuries were reported, and the minor driver of the Corolla was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.

¯ Tara A. Greene, 35, 4980 Lowell Hill Road, Lowell, driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned by Cory M. Greene, same address, was traveling north on Ohio 60 in Muskingum Township Aug. 30 when she traveled off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and overturned. Greene and a passenger had possible injuries and were taken by Devola EMS to WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center. Greene was charged with failure to control.

¯ Patricia A.Wilson, 78, 275 Woodlawn Ave., Belpre, driving a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, and Rikki L. Brown, 25, 10175 State Route 339, Vincent, driving a 2021 Subaru Forester, were both traveling north on Ohio 339 in Barlow Township Sept. 1 when Brown was turning left into a private drive as Wilson started to overtake traffic. Wilson struck Brown and drove off the left side of the road. Brown drove off the right side of the road. Wilson and her passenger had suspected minor and serious injuries and were taken by Barlow EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital. Brown also had suspected minor injuries and was taken by Barlow EMS to Memorial. Wilson was charged with driving left of the center line.

¯ John W. Hauserman, 65, 4502 Forestwood Drive, Parma, driving a 1997 Yamaha XV1100 Virago, was traveling south on Ohio 555 in Fairfield Township Sept. 1 and failed to negotiate a curve, causing him to travel off the right side of the road. Hauserman had suspected minor injuries and was taken by Wesley Fire Department to Marietta Memorial in Belpre. Hauserman was charged with failure to control.

¯ Harley E. Poole, 33, 120 Second St., Dillonvale, driving a 2024 Ford E-450, owned by Stoney Hollow Tire Inc., 7 North First St., Martins Ferry, and Jason Page Suter, 53, 65315 Garret Hill Road, Saint Clairsville, driving a 2020 Chevy Malibu, were both traveling north on Ohio 7 in Marietta Township Sept. 2 when Poole struck Suter. No injuries were reported, and Poole was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.

¯ Michael D. Simers, 47, 1216 Weppler Road, Lowell, driving a 1995 Jeep Wrangler, and Nicole L. Knowlton, 48, 573 Luke Chute Road, Waterford, driving a 2024 Nissan Sentra, were traveling north on Ohio 60 in Waterford Township Sept. 3 when Knowlton stopped at a red light and was struck by Simers. No injuries were reported, Simers was not charged, and Knowlton was charged with driving under suspension.

¯ Chad C. Williamson, 24, 60 Mitchell Drive, Newport, driving a 2014 Chevy Sonic, owned by James O. Williamson, same address, was traveling eastbound on Watertown Township Road 170 (Miller Road) Sept. 3 when he ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. No injuries were reported. Williamson was charged with failure to control.

¯ Ivan M. Perea, 33, 5530 North Blackburn Road North East, McConnelsville, driving a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a minor driving a 2015 Nissan Rogue, owned by Rebecca L. Eddy, 2864 Bloomfield Road, Cambridge, were both traveling north on Ohio 7 in Marietta Township Sept. 4 when Perea hit the rear of the Rogue. No injuries were reported, and Perea was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.
