Picture This: Ohio 7 and Farson Street crash
A car sits along the edge of Ohio 7 near Farson Street in Belpre after being involved in a crash Thursday afternoon. Traffic on Ohio 7 was stopped for a time following the wreck, which also involved a pickup truck. Washington County Sheriff Mark Warden said the crash happened after a deputy tried to stop a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of the Reno area. A pursuit ensued, ending with the accident. Warden said the Ohio State Highway Patrol was investigating the crash. It was not immediately clear which vehicle had been reported stolen or the condition of the drivers and any passengers. BELPRE — Traffic was slowed on Ohio 7 at Farson Street Thursday afternoon after a three-vehicle accident that ended the pursuit of a reportedly stolen car.
Washington County Sheriff Mark Warden said the crash happened after a deputy tried to stop a 2010 Subaru Outback, which had been reported stolen from the Dollar General in Reno. A pursuit ensued, ending when the Outback struck two other vehicles at Ohio 7 and Farson Street.
The conditions of the vehicles’ drivers and any passengers were not immediately known, although Warden indicated the driver of the Outback had been taken to WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center. Multiple ambulances responded to the scene.
Warden said the Ohio State Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
