Fourth Grade – 1st – ‘The White Figure,’ Mckenzie Rial, New Matamoras

One time when I lived in an apartment I was putting my bike away cause it was dark and I heard something so I looked over and saw an all white figure with no face no hair walking across the trees where I heard the noise and then it disappeared in thin air and so i put my bike down as fast as I could and ran inside and tried to process what just happened but then there was knocking so i nervously looked out the window nothing was to be seen and so I decided to go to sleep.*the next day*there was lights flickering and quiet,soft whispers,banging on the closet doors stomping on the roof.and so I got out of bed and went to go tell my mom what happened and she didn’t believe me and so I just went on with my day and went to school and did all the normal stuff like usually but In the middle of class I went to the bathroom and saw a white figure like I saw last night in the mirror and so I went back to class and packed up.and then we left so I went home and drew a skeleton because of our assignment mrs,medows gave us.but there’s something I have to say did I ever say wake up? Did I tho?

Fourth Grade – 2nd – ‘The Shadows,’ Gracee Irvin, New Matamoras

There was a girl named Marrie she loved to play outside with her dog but one day Marries dog was acting strange its eyes turned blood shot red she got scared it looks like her dog was staring at her while she was sleeping she screamed for her mom but when her mom got to her room her dog sally was sleeping. My mom told me I was just having a bad dream but I think something is up I have to find out what is happening maybe I can go to the cemetery were my dad is buried I can sneak out I climbed out the window and there was a old man outside of my moms bed room it was my dad I at least thought I ran up to him and he grad me and I never saw my family ever again but I saw my dog and he looks fine so I tried to pet him and he bit me and one second later he turned into the same man that was outside my moms window 4 years ago I was 10 4 years later I am 14 now I ran out the door and I ran to my house but when I got their my house was not even their I thought I got the wrong house but I was on 123 mane st. I went to my best friend’s house and I went to my other friends house but I reminded in my dream my friends were having a sleepover at the mall for their birthday so I went to the mall and my friends were both there and I screamed Teagan,Mckenzie then i saw something out of the corner of my eye but it was just my shadow I thought I was just paranoid of what happened in the past I ran to my friends and they screamed and next thing I know my shadow guards me and she got strangled over the fire. The end.

Fourth Grade – 3rd – “The Forest,” Abel Slonaker, New Matamoras

Deep in the forest a strange noise came from somewhere so three boys Henry, Bobby and Carl went to see what. It was the creepiest thing, a cruel scene of a cultist sacrificing lots of people. Then they came after the boys. The boys ran as fast as they could, then they hid in the tree house. Then the cultist tried to find them but one got caught. Then the other ones followed them to the fire. and that one that got caught the boy got burned alive. Then the other one ran then died because they got him and drowned him and he died. Then the other one had to go on his own because the cultist cut down his tree house. Some cultists burned other cultists and they made a forest fire and burned them all alive but one made it. out and beat the kid alive and then burned him so there was no evidence. Then the cultist got hunted down and got put in a room with no food or water and starved to death. and then his son turned into a cultist himself and burned and drowned lots of people. and then his son got beat to death then suffered and bleeded out to death. and as he died he smiled and laughed then died with a laugh and said see you later i come back. Then a year later strange activity in the woods it was that one cultist that said he would come back got found. Just sitting there looking at them then the people did not make it out. They were found in the fire burned to ashes. and that one cultist was eating the ashes of the boy.
