Kolin and Mike went Trick or Treating and they came across a house that looked haunted. Kolin wanted to go in, but Mike didn’t want to go in. Kolin said, “why don’t you want to go in?” Mike answered, because the house looks haunted and creepy. Kolin said, “Well so?” Come on Mike it will be fun. “Bu- bu-t what if there is a ghost or a zombie or something dangerous.” Mike answers, “there is nothing dangerous in there, just come on.” Mike thought for a second then said, “fine lets go”

Chapter 2: Trapped

Kolin and Mike went into the creepy looking house and then found skeletons on the ground. Mike said, “I think we should leave?” Kolin said,”I agree.” They started to walk out until the doors immediately closed when they were trying to get out. Now they were stuck, what did they do? Kolin and Mike tried to open the door, but they wouldn’t budge. Mike said, “Oh no we are trapped!” Kolin and Mike noticed the skeletons moving on the ground. Kolin says, “I think it was a bad idea to go in here!” Kolin and Mike noticed the skeletons moving on the ground. Kolin says “I think it was a bad idea to go in here!” Mike said, “It was your idea to come in!” Kolin answered and said ” I know, but I thought it would be fun!” Mike answered and said back,”let’s stop talking and run away from the skeletons!”

Kolin went in first to check if it was safe. Kolin said to Mike, “it looks safe, let’s go in to hide from the skeletons.” Mike and Kolin went in and thought it was safe but it wasn’t. Kolin tells Mike, “we should try and find an exit.” Mike agreed and said to Kolin “but how, the front doors are closed?” Kolin said to Mike “well yeah, but there might be another exit.” Mike answered and said back “yeah, let’s look around.” Kolin and Mike were looking when they were trapped by the ghosts and skeletons. Kolin and Mike screamed, “oh no we are trapped” Kolin looked and saw a half open window Kolin said to Mike, “look the window is half open, lets go!” Mike and Kolin climbed out, but a skeleton had grabbed Mike’s leg. “Come on,” said Howard, “It’ll be fun.” Clyde replied with, “I’ve heard rumors about this place. They say it’s haunted.” As we walked to the house, I felt a slight chill go down my spine. “Hey,” said Quentin. “How about we go home? It’s so late, our parents could be worried.” We approached the front door, and stepped in. We explored for a bit and found nothing. Nothing except a dim-lit room with nothing. So, we started goofing off, as usual until we heard a loud crash. Clyde, Howard and Quentin ran off to who knows where, leaving me alone, and without a light. I felt slight panic at first, then started to ease up a bit. “Okay,” I thought to myself. “They just abandoned me here in the middle of the night, how bad could it be?” “It’s stuck!” Howard said. “But, Derek’s still in there!” Quentin and Clyde both tried opening the door. “I told you this was a bad idea, Howard!” Quentin said. “Yeah, it’s kinda your fault, Howard.” “Shut up.” Howard replied. Back in the house, alone sat I. I wondered how to get out of the house. Then I heard footsteps descending down a flight of stairs, accompanied by a ray of light. “Help!” I yelled, but the figure didn’t seem to notice me. “Oh,” said the figure, “What are you doing here, young man?” I explained the situation calmly, and the old figure nodded solemnly. “I wish I still had friends, or even a friend.” He showed me to the door, said goodbye, then closed the door. My friends asked me what happened. I only replied with, “nothing really bad happened, just a… misunderstanding.” Followed by, “no more, no less.” As we walked home, I wondered, “If only I could see that man again.”
