Giving joy: Muskingum Park trees fill area with happiness

Muskingum Park trees fill area with happiness

A Christmas gnome tree topper.

Small children run up and down the sidewalk between Front Street and the gazebo in Muskingum Park, the light from thousands of tiny bulbs illuminating their faces from the dozens of trees lining the walk.

“This year we have a wonderful mix of groups who return year after year and others decorating a tree for the very first time. It’s always such a joy to see everyone’s faces light up — right along with the trees–on opening night,” said Jen Tinkler, executive director of Marietta Main Street.

Around 60 trees fill the area around the gazebo as they have every year since 2019.

“We’re grateful to Greenleaf Landscapes for their continued partnership in making our Holiday Tree Walk shine, added Tinkler.
