Memorial Bridge prices increase
PARKERSBURG — The price to cross the Memorial Bridge went up effective New Year’s Day.
In an announcement to customers, Parkersburg Bridge Partners said the cost per trip to cross the bridge will increase from $1.35 to $1.75 for motorists with an MOV Pass transponder or EZ Pass, according to the PBP website.
The cost for the monthly unlimited program will increase from $40 to $55.
For those not using a transponder and being billed after their license plates are scanned, the cost is increasing from $5.35 to $5.75 for standard vehicles, the website said.
The toll for standard passenger vehicles equipped with a transponder began at $1 per crossing when the bridge reopened under the private ownership of Parkersburg Bridge Partners on Oct. 1, 2023. That went up to $1.35 on March 2, 2025.
After Parkersburg Bridge Partners purchased the span from the city, the company undertook an approximately $50 million rehabilitation project and shifted all tolling to electronic. Equipment either scans the transponder and charges the associated account or scans the vehicle’s license plate, causing a bill to be sent to the owner.
For Class 2 vehicles (those 12 feet tall and 20-46 feet long), the new cost is $4.75 for transponder crossings and $8.75 for pay-by-plate crossings. For Class 3 vehicles (those 12 feet tall and 46 feet or more longer) the cost is $8.75 and $12.75, respectively.
