Clutch Collective will host its third Adult Book Fair from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in partnership with The Novel Notion, a local maker of bookish goods.

While VIP tickets for the event sold out, general admission begins at 1 p.m. Sunday. There’s no cost to attend.

In the spirit of the beloved Scholastic Book Fair, the event will feature various book-themed items, including handmade goods by local artists, a book swap, refreshments and more.

“The response to our first event last year was above and beyond our wildest dreams,” said Sarah Arnold, owner of Clutch Collective. “We had never had a line form outside our doors before. It was clear this was something our community was looking for, and we’re excited to bring this event year after year.”

Central to the event is the community Book Swap. Gently used books will be laid out and book fair attendees are welcome to pick up to three to bring home at no cost, whether they donated to the swap or not.

The community is invited to donate books for the swap during normal Clutch Collective business hours at 152 Front St. in downtown Marietta. Books should be in good, readable condition with minimal wear and tear, and either for mature YA or adult fiction. All books must be dropped off before Friday. After the event, any remaining books will be donated.

“It’s a great way to refresh your bookshelves and discover a new favorite author,” Arnold said.

Sam Miller of The Novel Notion will pop up in the shop with a variety of merchandise, featuring book-themed fabrics, sayings, and iconic images and quotes from contemporary fiction.

“I see the Adult Book Fair as a great way to relive childhood bliss,” Miller said.

Clutch Collective will debut new artist-made items for the event, including a special collection of handmade ceramics featuring contemporary literary themes by local artists Eva Bennett of The Beard and The Bun Pottery and bookmarks by Meg McAtee. In Wit & Whimzy, Sara Flood of Sara & Sybil will be set up with her handmade kindle covers, book sleeves and more.

Sips Coffee Truck will be on site with hot and cold refreshments.

Starting at $2.99/week.
