GoPacks to host Top Chef Challenge

GoPacks will host a Top Chef Challenge from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 24, at the Marietta Shrine Club.

The event is the largest annual fundraiser for GoPacks and uses food to fight food insecurity.

According to a press release from GoPacks, the Top Chef Challenge blends culinary creativity with a meaningful mission. The event brings together professional and home cooks competing to create original dishes using ingredients commonly found in GoPacks food bags. According to the press release, the challenge highlights the importance of accessible and nutritious meals for local students in need.

The evening includes the chef competition, appetizers, salad, a choice of three entrees prepared by Valley Catering, dessert and coffee, a cash bar, a 50/50 raffle and culinary-themed auctions. Individual tickets are $60, and tickets for a table of eight are $480. People may also provide scholarship opportunities from $250 to $2,000. Ticket sales will close at 4 p.m. Monday, April 20.

The GoPacks press release states that “this event is not only a fun and engaging night out, but also a powerful way for our community to come together and support local children facing food insecurity.”
