BELPRE — The Ohio Valley Opry will celebrate one year in its new Belpre home with a special slate of entertainment on Saturday featuring two performances at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Scheduled performers include The Clarks, Mike Morrison, Beth Bigham and Matt Coleman, along with special guest newcomers gospel singer Alan Tennant of Rockport and rising country artist Seth Ayers of Lancaster.
The Ohio Valley Opry hosts variety-style performances that blend classic country, gospel, bluegrass and Americana music with storytelling.
Now entering its second year in Belpre, the Opry continues programs in its new theater at 1944 Washington Blvd., Belpre, behind the Celebration Center Church. The April 18 performances mark an important milestone and celebrate a successful first year in the new venue and the continued growth of the Opry, according to organizers.
“This show is a celebration of where we’ve been and where we’re going,” organizers said in a news release. “We’re excited to bring together familiar faces and new talent as we mark one year in Belpre with our audience.”
Tickets for both shows can be purchased online at www.ohiovalleyopry.com or by calling the box office at 740-525-9218.
