Marietta Chapter Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution hosting Mound Cemetery service

The Marietta Chapters Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a memorial service slated for 10 a.m. at Mound Cemetery on Thursday.
The service will recognize the Revolutionary War Patriots of the Northwest Territory and the history of the area.
The event will include remarks from Marietta Chapter SAR Historian Scott Britton along with musket salutes, wreath presentations, and a tour of Mound Cemetery and the Patriots buried there.
The event is open to the public, and in the event of bad weather the program will be moved to St. Paul’s Church.
According to a release from the National Society Sons of the American Revolution, Color Guardsman will muster and conduct safety checks at 9:30 a.m. Ohio Color Guard Commander will lead the commands and safety checks prior to the start of the program.
